Hello. This is Fujishima from Jibunrashiku LLC.
The "Drum Dance Club" held on Saturday, June 21st, created a wonderful circle with a light, refreshing, and warm atmosphere among the dozen or so participants.
Perhaps because it was the special day of the summer solstice, many people seemed to have decided to participate intuitively.
Notably, Yuri-san brought a handmade Chino-wa (茅の輪, a ring made of cogongrass). Also, Shion-san invited someone who had come to observe nearby, and they joined on short notice. These warm happenings overlapped, creating a wonderfully mysterious and comfortable time.
Physical "expression" promotes self-liberation. You might think it's difficult to participate if you haven't liberated yourself beforehand, but with the spirit of "there's nothing to fear when everyone dances," I believe you'll enjoy it as much as one participant said, "It's a joy you can't experience anywhere else," if you just try joining once.
This "space" thrives purely thanks to the mysterious charm of Shu-chan & Kumi-chan, the couple behind Chakran-do. Their bringing many djembes allows participants to switch between "dancing" and "drumming," which is another highlight of these Chakran-do sessions.
We, the organizers, were also smiling throughout and are sincerely grateful for this wonderful connection. We were able to spend a fantastic summer solstice with everyone. Thank you so much!
And it was truly a joy for us as organizers that so many of you expressed gratitude in the final sharing, saying, "Thank you for holding this Drum Dance Club." Let's dance together again!
