On Saturday, May 31st, we successfully held the long-awaited "8th Min Nano Live"! I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and to all who helped make this event a success. Thank you very much!
This time, there was also a new challenge: I performed an impromptu live painting to the music of the wonderful pianist, Masanobu Takano-san 🎨 Although the piece created on the spot is no longer in my possession, I personally felt a strong sense of accomplishment, thinking, "This is something interesting I've drawn!" What was particularly moving was when Momo-chan's child, who oversaw the event's marche, looked at the completed painting and exclaimed, "I see gods and horses!" The rich sensibility of children always touches my heart.
The 'Cycle of Joy' Woven by Music and Art
At "Min Nano Live," we always incorporate a system where visitors can 'give tips to musicians they like or want to support.' This time too, many people generously contributed, and we received numerous heartwarming comments like 'I resonated with the lyrics' and 'I was moved by the song,' which are the most rewarding words for creators. With sincere gratitude, thank you!
Furthermore, having continued this event for many years, I find great joy in witnessing firsthand the growth of musicians who perform repeatedly. Their deepening expressions with each successive event are a significant inspiration to me.
The Power of Art That Transcends Borders
This live event featured 14 artists and 6 marche stalls, each fully expressing their unique 'jibunrashisa' (individuality). As admission was free, not only Japanese but also many foreign tourists visited the venue, and it was truly wonderful to see them enjoying the music and art 🇯🇵🌍
You might sometimes hear voices saying, 'Songs made by amateurs...' However, even without a common language, witnessing foreign visitors wholeheartedly enjoying the sounds made me realize anew how enjoying 'the sound itself' is truly the essence of music and a universal joy, more so than the language or lyrical content. It was a day when I deeply felt that both music and art effortlessly transcend language barriers and resonate directly with the heart.
After the event, we've already received many delightful comments full of anticipation, such as 'I want to participate again next year!' and 'I definitely want to perform next year!' To meet everyone's expectations, we will continue to put our best efforts into planning and preparing for the next 'Min Nano Live'! Please look forward to it!
