Hello. I'm Terashima, the CEO of LLC Jibun Rashiku (Living True to Yourself).
Our bodywork "Unfolding Bodywork," which we cherish as one of the pillars of our activities, reached a significant milestone this spring: 15 years since its inception.
Fifteen years ago, the term "bodywork" was still largely unknown, and it was difficult to articulate its uniqueness and value when asked, "How is it different from chiropractic or massage?" However, I saw the situation where "no one knows" not as a disadvantage, but as possessing great potential and value.
I thought that simply opening a shop and waiting would limit encounters with people who would resonate with and feel the value of this bodywork. With that in mind, I loaded a foldable massage bed into our car, and my spouse and I embarked on a "session journey," literally traveling all over Japan.
It started with friends and acquaintances trying it, and those who experienced the effects of the bodywork would then introduce it to others. This warm circle of word-of-mouth spread gradually and steadily. Gratefully, now people come from all over the country to receive sessions, even without us traveling to them. The fact that we have been able to continue our activities for 15 years without significant advertising is solely thanks to the "thousands of people" who have connected us through word-of-mouth.
Throughout these 15 years, there is one place where particularly deep and warm connections have been fostered: Miki City, Midorigaoka, Hyogo Prefecture.
The encounter with Dr. Yamamoto, director of Yamamoto Clinic in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, was a major catalyst for me to continue this bodywork to this day. About 12 years ago, when bodywork was still rare, Dr. Yamamoto gave me the opportunity to hold sessions in the wonderful setting of his clinic's salon. From there, I was blessed with the chance to offer sessions to many warm-hearted people in Miki City, meeting important individuals such as Ms. Takagaki from the natural food store "Fukinoto" (formerly "Okina Ki"), and Ms. Kubota, a yoga instructor.
Even now, we regularly hold session events twice a year at "Fukinoto," run by Ms. Takagaki. Recently, we were able to hold another warm session event filled with many smiles. Although the venue has changed at times, it has been more than 10 years since I started offering sessions in Miki City, thanks to my connection with Ms. Takagaki.
These session events in Miki City are a special time for me. Some people have been coming since the very first session, and it starts with warm greetings like "Long time no see! How have you been?" as if meeting family or relatives. Everyone is very friendly, and the entire atmosphere, including those receiving sessions and Ms. Takagaki who supports them, is truly enveloped in a family-like warmth.
I have faced the minds and bodies of so many people over the years; some relationships end after just one session, while others, like these, have continued for over 10 years. Even as each person's life steadily, and sometimes significantly, changes, it feels somewhat miraculous and truly grateful that we maintain a relationship where we can unchangingly say "Welcome back" and "I'm home." Through bodywork, I feel the preciousness of not just touching people's minds and bodies, but also gently accompanying a part of their lives and the community's activities.
When talking about the history of my bodywork and the activities of LLC Jibun Rashiku, the connections with the people of Miki City are truly like the warm roots that support this endeavor. Dr. Yamamoto, Ms. Takagaki, Ms. Kubota, and all the people of Miki City who always welcome us warmly, thank you very much.
Our aim is a society where each individual places their "joy" at the center, and can shine healthily in mind and body, "living true to themselves." I feel that the session events in Miki City are precisely such an important place where "jibun rashiku" (living true to yourself) gathers and warm connections are born.

The store where we regularly (twice a year) hold bodywork session events in Midorigaoka, Miki City, is "Fukinoto," managed by Ms. Takagaki. "Fukinoto" offers many natural foods and body-friendly products with a focus on safety and security. They also value the idea of people becoming healthy in mind and body through delicious food, and being a warm place where local residents can gather and relax. Our bodywork session events are also held in such a warm space at "Fukinoto" and in a cheerful atmosphere among the attendees, for which we are always very grateful.
