Hello! I'm Fujishima from Jibunrashiku LLC.
I'm excited to announce that I'm now involved with an area information magazine called "TSUNAGO," published by a car dealer based in Iwakura, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. As some of you may know, we self-publish a booklet called "Sakyo Henjin Zukan," which introduces fascinating people in Sakyo Ward.
This time, I'd like to tell you about how I came to participate in "TSUNAGO" and the new developments for "Sakyo Henjin Zukan"!

My Encounter with "TSUNAGO" Began at "Iwakura Marche"
My encounter with "TSUNAGO" was at "Iwakura Marche," a local event held on May 18th. I performed as a singer-songwriter at this event, and for that, I attended a meeting in March.
Among the passionate individuals gathered with the desire to revitalize Iwakura, I introduced myself, saying, "I'll be singing on stage this time, but I'm also an editorial writer who participates in Sakyo Asa Cafe and creates a booklet called 'Sakyo Henjin Zukan'." Then, a committee member looked at me intently with a hint of surprise. She was the one who had been working tirelessly to publish "TSUNAGO."
Although she excels at advertising sales, she told me, "I don't know how to create information pages," and asked for my support. Our experience in self-producing and publishing "Sakyo Henjin Zukan" unexpectedly came into play here.
"Sakyo Henjin Zukan" Expands Through "TSUNAGO"!
Another major reason for deciding to participate in "TSUNAGO" was that "Sakyo Henjin Zukan" would be featured with two pages.
"Sakyo Henjin Zukan" is a project my husband and I started out of personal passion. We created it with the desire to let more people know about the interesting aspects of the community by introducing the lifestyles and activities of unique and fascinating people (whom we affectionately call "eccentrics"!) living in Sakyo Ward.
Although we've been quietly active with self-publishing until now, being featured in "TSUNAGO," a community-based information magazine, has given us the chance for a wider audience to learn about "Sakyo Henjin Zukan."
The area covered by "TSUNAGO" includes Sakyo Ward, Kita Ward, and Kamigyo Ward in Kyoto City, north of Imadegawa Street. This largely overlaps with the activity area of "Sakyo Henjin Zukan," raising expectations for new encounters with "eccentrics"!
The Potential of "TSUNAGO" to Connect Communities
Through my involvement in the production of "TSUNAGO," I've reaffirmed the power and potential of local information magazines. "TSUNAGO," filled not only with advertisements but also with the daily lives of residents, event information, and content that makes the community interesting, like our "Sakyo Henjin Zukan", will truly play a role in "connecting" the community and its people.
I, too, made every effort, albeit a small one, through the creation of the information pages, to make "TSUNAGO" a more appealing issue that excites those who pick it up.
Please do pick up this new area information magazine, "TSUNAGO." And we would be delighted if you would also check out the pages of "Sakyo Henjin Zukan"! Surprisingly, it's even distributed at the Sakyo Ward Office and the Sakyo Seibu Ikiiki Community Activities Center.
Going forward, I intend to continue my activities of discovering and disseminating local charm, alongside my music activities.
